Wednesday 9th September 2009

FB43 cover

The latest issue of Campden FB, the magazine dedicated to large, multigenerational family businesses, is now available. In this issue we meet the Zamil Group, where 12 brothers all sit on the board of directors; Nelsons, winners of the Coutts Prize for Family Business; plus an exclusive interview with Donald Trump on advisors.

This edition features a special report on women in wealth, including a summary of "The New Wealth Paradigm: How Affluent Women are Taking Control of their Futures" – an exclusive survey carried out by Campden Research and Wilmington Trust. Plus Barbara Murray takes a look at the darker side of minority family ownership and how women are being forced to sell their shareholding.

We introduce our new next generation section with interviews with Thilo Wersborg, vice president of the Family Business Network's Next Generation Committee and Mary Kay Mudd, a next gen committee member working in her family's advertising business.

There is the usual mix of the top family business experts: Yuelin Yang discusses the generational transition issues in Asia, Randel Carlock gives his tips on how to lead your family business out of the crisis and Joachim Schwass assesses what the financial crisis means for family business education.

In our lifestyle section Margie Goldsmith reveals a new collaboration between two families that combines Michelin star cookery with five-star hospitality at a Palace hotel in Switzerland, while Clare Adler meets the family behind perfumers Floris, now into their eight-generation of family ownership.
